    Jay -

Look at the recent laws. If you are not "Robert Ryan", you don't have
rights to the name if it is contested. We will go directly to ICANN, take
it from you and can file a lawsuit for costs. We WILL pursue this to the
fullest extent of the law. The question you have to ask is, is it worth it
    for you?

    PLEASE CONSULT AN ATTORNEY.

Further, Robert Ryan does not have to be a register TM with the Federal
government to be given common law trademark rights.

Please allow us to do this swiftly. I will send a transfer request upon
    your reply.

    Regards,
    Michael

Re: I wonder what is the recent law says ?

Hopefuly one of our legal experts will chime in.

If they were planning to register it when it became available, why didn't they use the same threats and follow through on them, with the previous owner.?

If they were the previous owner, why didn't they just renew it(pay redemption fee) before it dropped? Surely, as a well known figure in "in emerging business marketing" they could afford it.

Might be sour grapes due to a missed opportunity. How did you get the name?

    Thank you for the comment.

From their email I don't think they were the previoius owner and they never claim so. Anyway, I'm not sure either.

How did I get the name? Just look thru the drop list and register manually.

They are either bluffing or you'll find out soon. Do not engage in any further communication with them without consulting with an attorney.

I think they are huffing and puffing and bluffing. Blow it off until you hear from their lawyer, then decide whether or not to fight it.

Is it just me or is that sentence very poorly worded? I wonder who this/these person/people is/are.

    Thanks all for the comments.

My response for now is to have his attorney send me a certified mail, and will stop responding his email.
