If i walk into Yahoo offices will it work?

My Yahoo mail has been down and the idiot customer code referral goes in circles and does nothing but issue an email to an account I can't access. I am starting to get very concerned about not being able to access this account and do not want to spend the next 5 hours shouting personal data into the phone to a lackadaisical Indian employees.

I happen to live in the same city as a building with "Yahoo" on the front. If I got to the physical company address can i expect any better attention to this important security matter?

The real question is - is there anyone in that office who can help you?

I work in an office (for my company) but there are many issues that no one in the office would be able to help customers with.

Dude, seriously... Exactly how do you see this playing out?
You wouldn't call customer support why??? I have yahoo email, and yeah, it's far from perfect, but I've never been down for more than a day, and even then it was my fault for adding a wireless router which had the same code or some shit. But after my C A L L to them (not a personal visit), the issue was resolved promptly.

Ok, so a relative of mine is a ceo of a huge (and I mean HUGE) utility company. So if my "utility" goes out should I go to his house and see what he can do? I won't have my utility restored any more than you'll have email...

i called yahoo before once about a domain issue and they were like we need to see your drivers license come to the office. i thought my being there would straighten out whatever issue the yahoo company had. Sometimes they interrupt service to test identities. And if they are a brand email company why wouldn't they have a single human in the building to help?

Maybe. But if the office there doesn't handle Yahoo email concerns, then no.

Even if you want to "force" the issue at that office, they might call security.

On the side, is this for a free email or paid one? If paid, there should be some
kind of link for customer support or thing.

This goes to show how stubborn women can be....

Try picking up the phone....instead of posting this here.....or going to a head office building that does not do customer support....unbelievable.

This is why Google killed Yahoo. Yahoo is a poorly managed company that should have been worth more than Exxon by now. Yahoo should have monopolized the web, but they didn't. They acquired, and hoped that acquisitions would keep them going. If you're not constantly improving, you're falling behind.

On a related topic, using "free" email services is risky. Yahoo and Google reserve the right to change / deactivate one's email account / address at any time for any reason.

IMHO, a better solution is using a paid email service (most webhosts include email service at no extra cost) on one's own domain name - that way one will get better support, and can move service around as needed while still keeping the same email address.
