Is it illegal to have a link on your web site to web site that contains illegal material? (i.e. stolen software, credit card info, child porn, other illegal material)
thanks

A most obscure answer. Can you elaborate in simpler terms?
example;
I own (not really) illegalcreditcardscams.com, would it be illegal to build a link list and keep it updated with links to know credit card scam sites? Or for that matter any of the above listed illegal material.

The same argument pertains to ThePirateBay: they don't host, but they link to torrents of pirated software and media.
I think your question is not clear from the first post.
So you want to know if you can create a site which will list all the illegal sites?
1. How do you know they are illegal sites? Do you have any proof?
2. What is the purpose of your site? You may get yourself into more problems than just legal/illegal matters.

The answer looks like NO
as long as you do not have interest in the other sites
and you are not profiting from them.

I do know that in the UK someone got done for simply providing a link to
illegal material. I dont know in USA if there is something akin to aiding and
abetting a crime etc ?.
