Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!Several years ago, it got into various online news sites that Penguin Books had published a book about a young woman victimized by online predators, named katie.com. The problem was that they didn't actually own that domain, but a different woman also named Katie owned it, and was annoyed at all the unwanted publicity her domain was getting. After several years of nothing much happening in this dispute, it's heating up again, as a lawyer associated with the book author is apparently starting to harrass the domain owner to attempt to get her to turn over the domain, despite the fact that she had it first.

Thats a nice case of reverse domain name hijacking.
wow, that's pretty crazy, what a weird situation...
I guess the book author is now the predator he wrote about in the book?
It looks like Penguin has given in and renamed the book:

I am glad that they renamed the book instead of trying to push harder for the woman to turn over katie.com. That situation could have turned into something really bad.
