Angry Legal Help Needed ASAP

I won a domain through SnapNames about one year ago. A few months ago I
tried to transfer the domain out of the registrar that SnapNames used to capture
this name and found that I can NOT Unlock the domain

The registrar is ruregistrar.com They are ICANN Accredited

I contacted snapnames and they could not help
The registrar does not respond to my email or Snapnames emails

I opened up a trouble ticket at ICANN and they can not help
Their answer was "Retain an attorney"

I asked them what their ability was to help with issues like this and
all they can and will do is try to contact the registrar. the registrar did not
respond to them so according to ICANN there is nothing they can do

I find it hard to believe that there is no agency that can help

Any ideas here????

Unfortunately I can't help in the legal department, but I can tell you that you're not alone.

I've been trying to either unlock or renew 2 domains with RURegistrar for months now, with no luck whatsoever. After trying to unlock them for a month, not getting a single response from the customer "support", it was getting too close to the expiry date so I decided to renew them. Well, they took my money but the domains still haven't renewed.

I also filed a complaint with ICANN, which did absolutely nothing.

They're just a garbage registrar, plain and simple, and I wish the company I work for didn't use them. I'm trying to consolidate all of our domains, but it's a challenge (and incredibly time consuming) when you run in to registrars like this.

ICANN is a total JOKE. according to them, they have no power to do anything
with a domain. All they will do is send an email to the registrar

WHO Is the agency that handles matters like this

I agree. There are so many shady registrars out there, someone needs to be able to step up and GSD when issues like this come up.
