So, you are going to admit to being a sneaky little slimy thief?

IF YOU DID NOT STEAL IT, THEN WHO DID?

No answer huh.

The ex owner doesn’t have a right to the domain name, if justice is to be done, the domain should be cancelled and dropped and let the normal drop process take effect and NOT returned to the previous owner.
After lurking and following this thread since the beginning, I am finally prompted to post by the above statement (and subsequent statements from csite.net). THAT is just plain WRONG, and can't believe anyone could have this view of a situation. Appalling...

victimlesscrime, I hope all turns out for the best and should the final facts prove out, you take this through the legal system.

Mr.Deleted & JP, thank you for the watchful eye and pursuing the truth. It's good to know that there are helpful, non-selfish, professional domainers that do look out for the good of the whole.

JP, I hope you keep us/me posted on the Susan Powell findings.

What's happened to the whois record for minimise? Resolves to godaddy, but nothing in the whois record.

Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

aside from the stolen minimise.com he did the same thing to painkillers.com so please do not forget that also..

unfortunately as per mine & Josh's previous emails we've been unable to locate the owner but he performed EXACTLY the same trick to steal the domain....!

Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

Adam, AlienGG is clearly a theif, I hope he would at least hand minimise.com back before he is axed, as for painkillers.com, I have now spent well in excess of $1300 along with Maroulis and several hours of my own research. Getting that name frozen and eventually returned is not something I can do as I am not the original ownr. Only thing to do is get snapnames motivated or hope any future buyer see's this thread first. As for it being parked, any parking company should view this as a stolen name and remove it. He is with Parked.com, why let the theif benefit ???? Sadly it goes deeper, Susan Powell " used to " own other names that now show AllienGG's info, chronicpain.com for example. He has other's so the theft is larger then these two.

Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

As a domain registrar we have had this happen to us in the past, I know that this practice has been used for a long time. It's hard to defend against, but it is possible.

Without the cooperation of both registrars and the previous registrant, nobody will ever know what really happened. Sometimes deals just go bad and the previous registrant claims he didn't sell the domain even though he has the money. Sometimes a domain is transferred and somebody writes a bad check.

Personally, I don't believe either side ever. Because both of them are telling their own truth, unfortunately at some point you have to make a decision on who is more right and who is more wrong.

In the end the decision will be made between Godaddy and Network Solutions transfer teams, it won't be decided here unless the previous owner decides to bring the matter to court. I have personal experience with both of them and I'd bet $50,000 on what will happen, but somebody would lose and it wouldn't be me.

And one more thing if NetSol can't find the previous owner it doesn't matter, it's kind of like winning a summary judgement.

Have fun!

Exactly what do you mean ?

My guess would be nothing will be done if netsol/godaddy arn't pressured to do something. Sadly I doubt they would.

Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

The "former" owner has to contact the losing registrar and say something happened. Otherwise nothing will happen. And ever day that goes by the chances of it being returned are less and less. If the domain was even highjacked. Remember that the way people are saying he stole the domain was the same way sex.com was originally stolen. I might be completely grey by the time this is resolved.

i dont think this can be solved via this thread...or by posting he said she said ....probably needs a official written statement by both registrars on the status of the stolen domain claim..

If AlienGG did steal this name (and after following this thread, I believe he did) and was dumb enough to use the same computer (IP address) for this forum and logging into Netsol, can't DCG or a MOD verify the same IP address as listed above and what he is using to login to this forum? Maybe I'm wrong!

Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

Wow - This is like OJ case

All we need is 'proof of purchase' and we are going no where after (2) weeks?

Some people did not steal because they need money but it is a challenge to satisfy personal stupid goal - 'I can do it and no one will catch me!'

Let wait and see...

And how exactly is this mainly the fault of the registrar when their contracts
define their relationships and responsibilities? Doesn't one of them say it's the
user's responsibility to keep their contact information updated?

If you mean when the hotmail address was re-registered, only Microsoft has
that data. How to get it from them without a court order is anyone's guess,
and you can bet Network Solutions isn't interested on getting that.
