Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

there is a possibility that AlienGG has purchased the domain from that service or whatever that is and that needs to be clarified.
    Why?

The name was stolen. If AlienGG did not steal the name himself, then he bought it from someone who stole it.

And he has not returned the domain name..... why?

Proving that he bought it from someone else who stole it doesn't remotely change the fact that he is refusing to return it.

The name is stolen. AlienGG has it. He is refusing to return it.

Whether he bought it from a thief does not change those three facts.

And as far as "the dog ate my evidence", that's too damned bad even if true.

Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

    Petros,

re: aliengg. Aside from the fact that it was his IP used in the theft, I happen to also know from the info provided by NSI that the credit card used to renew my domain is registered to him.

I have TWO, count 'em, TWO smoking guns that connect the theft of my domain to just one man.

I don't care if some obscure service acted as a go-between, although given the IP used and the process by which the domain was taken, that is a one in a trillion chance. If it can be proven that someone else effected the theft, it does not entitle aliengg to retain the stolen domain.

It can be proven 100% that the domain was stolen and obviously it can be 100% proven who is in possession of it and offering it for sale.

As John pointed out, aliengg is by now fully aware that the domain was misappropriated but is not prepared to return it.

My patience is wearing very thin.

I can confirm that as well.

And I agree to both above posts, the name should be returned no matter what.

Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

I am sitting here and thinking how terrible it is at least 3-4 maybe several more decent to very good domain names were stolen and now tainted on the resale market. At least minimise.com when returned will be ok but the others are a shame.

Painkillers.com, Chronicpain.com etc. were stolen from Susan Powell before expiry and even if they had dropped it would have been a theft from Netsol and Snapnames.

This type of shit needs to start being punished strongly. Very frustrating to be in a position to warn and not to act. Registrars need to start prosecuting.

If you know legal at Netsol John, pass this thread onto them, they may or may not care but atleast we tried.

Prosecuting what? There is nothing that Netsol could have done or can do in this situation. As long as the whois email admin contact address was used, the transfer was formally compliant. The name is not at Netsol, so they cannot transfer it back.

I was actually referring to prosecuting a theft from them, technically it would have been if left to expire. But I suppose until that date it wasnt a theft from them but rather the owner therefore my technicality is worthless as one cannot say for sure or prove it would drop.v The theft would have to occur during the auction or while in their posession which it wasn't so forgive my ramblings

I know that in the case of painkillers.com if allowed to drop ( taken day before ) that drop would have netted netsol and snap each several thousand dollars.

    As we speak now:

%100 - The name was stolen
%5 - He bought the name from someone else (should retun to the owner weeks ago)
%95 - He stole the name

AlienGG, regardless of whom what when why and how, are you returning the stolen property you are in possesion of, and if so, then when? I hope you do realize the FBI Internet Crimes Division has been alerted to this thread and issue early on by someone here (not me)

So, I assume they are most likely watching everything you do..be careful.

Here's the one issue I take with
%5 - He bought the name from someone else
He would have not only have bought one stolen name but minimum 3 and maybe 4 or 5 ( still looking into 2 more ) . All in the same manner. So in order for the theory to be plausable he bought all these from a serial domain theif and there is likely several several several more and that is besides he FACT his IP has been linked to the crime on minimise.com!!!! Which debunks theory altogether.

Many people have lost money due to these types of scamming and we need to get them off our community.

If he stole the names or bought them from the thieft knowing that the name is stolen, we have no reason to have him here. Prosecution would not be a problem with the authorities since he lives in the us.

All through this thread covering days this person has had some type of trouble connecting to the net. Why is that whenever someone is called out - out come the excuses? If you can afford some of these .com domains you can afford an Internet connection that works.

You have excuses for everything but your behavior.

Give back the domains you took.

Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

    UPDATE !!!!

Just spoke with Susans family via the phone, these names WHERE NOT sold to ( AlienGG ) they are 100% STOLEN. I have given them the way to find this thread and they may join to reply. They did inform me the FBI was contacted and she is recovering the names. She will also be very interested in speaking with me and will be calling me back when she gets home.

He was proven the theif of minimise.com and now proven the theif of Painkillers.com , Chronicpain.com and others she will bring to my attention shortly. He also mentioned she was having issues with her emails, that was insight into how Grant stole the names ( was never in doubt how but confirmation was nice ) .

If I was being accused of being a thief, I could probably manage to find WiFi in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn Express.

This thread should be stickied as a reminder to thieves and other lowlife scum that, eventually they will be caught and that type of behaviour will not be tolerated around here.

Just gives the entire industry a black eye.

DSL is the only type of i'net connection available to my current location, and without dial tone, it won't work.

What did it have to do with you? I posted the reply because I got the C&D from donnacha. I have nothing to hide. I didn't mind sharing my experience in the community.

Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

Grant, I just called Susan's home, she now is listing her phone number. They have contacted the FBI. Are you seriously going to keep this front up ?

If I were you and before she persues this further, return the names immediately ! I know no one wants to spend the money on legal fee's, perhaps if you give them back asap they will let it slide, maybe not ?

Chronicpain.com no longer features your address ( remember your excuse for that ? ) . It now lists Susan and her real contact info. ( I ask for Susan's sake no one contact her and overwhelm her at this time, she may join here ) .

So when you tell us you bought names from someone who says they are stolen and you can't even prove you bought them what are we expected to believe ?

Re: [M] Mimimise [dot] com - One Word Generic Dictionary Word - Massive!

i've sent you everything she sent me, even her driver's license. you didn't wanna take that, what can i do to satisfy you?
while i talked to her over the phone today, she said there is no relative of hers in the US other than her husband. i don't know if you count husband as a relative.
Yes chronicpain.com doesn't have my address on it. It was never in my possession like I said before.
well, i sent john a message with the correct link to that website. once he confirms to me that i should give the name to donnacha, i will.
