I dislike bidders who dont pay. I had the same issue with sedo on 3 domains. I was not able to find out who it was, how did you find out?

Acro, just wondering, if he didn't buy the domain, how do you know who it was?

sedo released his information. A real shame they don't reveal emails and phone numbers without legal action.

Incidentally, has anyone subpoenaed a deadbeat's full contact info from sedo? I am suspecting that the German office needs to step up their procedures of ensuring only verified buyers bid.

This is my 3rd deadbeat buyer on Sedo in the past 4 years.

Yes, the buyer is bound to the contract.

Enforcing the contract is the big challenge.

How do you say "deadbeat" in Polish?

Are you sure the last name is correct? I'm here in Poland, and have never heard of that surname, Google seems to reflect that as well. I could be wrong.

I am posting exactly what sedo sent me in an e-mail. If the guy's real name is Marek Szecowski I have no way of knowing. sedo verifies buyers using several means of identification, such as faxing passport/id's or by credit card.

    Seraphim, you're up late

I think I had that many per month in spring 2007.

Realistically speaking, given high legal costs & hassles, there is absolutely no incentive for sedo to enforce the sales contract unless it involves real lots of money.

Btw, I have another deadbeat buyer this month too.

As far as I know they (Sedo) do not do such verification for the users registering from some parts of the world (including East Europe). The send a number using SMS to your cell phone and you just type it in during the registration. IMO

That's interesting, DNP. I will have to ask sedo on Monday about that. If it's true, I'll push for its change.
