Anyone know what system places like sedo use?
I'd have assumed that it was primarily wire?

I know wire is the safest but I always believed that even a wire can be canceled (withina ltd timepsan) For instance if a wire was made via a compromised bank ac - the payment would fail (possibly even months down the line)?

InBrownStockings - agreed to buy one of my 4 letter domains for $1,345 while I was on vacation 2 weeks ago. Tryed to get me to Push Domain at GD to his account before paying...I then asked for basic verification info. -- a landline phone number and person's real name or company.......I sent 4 follow-up PMs but IYB went totally silent....no responses !

Real nice !

Hi!
This has just come up again!
I just received and email from godaddy saying:
This notification is generated automatically as a service to you.

We have received a request that the NAME SERVERS be changed to:

NS1.FASTPARK.NET
NS2.FASTPARK.NET

for the following domain name(s):

IRAN-IRAQ.COM

The whois info was never change and still has all of my information. godaddy sent me this notification even though the domain is no longer in my account. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do???
Thanks!

i would say , you can still make some changes to the domain info , if you got this email

hmmm

i wonder what contact email you still got on their

is the whois info yours on the domain???

because if it is , you still can control the domain

you don't need the domain

one of two options, contact godaddy or a rep asap

if that dosn't work , send them a fax

hay the law says they got to have the right info on the whois

but get this done asap before whoever stole the domain from you will change that info

Just a thought but if the admin email is still yours and the name is unlocked why not send a transfer request from another registrar

Oh yes auth code.. hhhmmm, all registers require an auth code now I imagine ? If so I am thinking how you can get it without being able to click the domain and request it as usual...hhhmmm... maybe call up GD and ask, report a technical difficulty lol

I'll probably have to give them a call. I called them when it originally happened and was basically told there was nothing they could do
