I had emailed back and forth with Allen last week and told him how to put up a free "add free stats" counter to track the unique visitors (this was the info I wanted). I also thought it may help with his auction.

At any rate I suggest emailing him as he did put the counter up within a couple of hours.

You have Allens email so I suggest dropping him a line.

Good luck and hope everything is on the up and up.

You say that you know that this Allen was the owner of ouch.com?

The owner i am buying it from gave me other name and he told me to be from Russia.

    I emailed opportunitymagic@aol.com

is this the correct email of Allen?

Do you know if eventually he might have sold the domain to the person who is selling it to me?

    Thanks,
    Attilio

    I emailed Allen.
Also I can't see why the "new" seller would pay $4500 or there abouts and then sell it for 3k?

I don't have proof the guy who I spoke with is definitely the owner however a short time after I told hime to put up "add free stats" he emailed and sure enough "add free stats" was up and running at ouch.com.

On the flip side. The site is completely different then when he put up the counter and the email address is domain_p@yahoo.com so this is atough one to figure out.

Again hope it is on the up and up!

    John

Crazy stuff! Allen sold it for $7500 and I just saw the cancelled echeck in his account.
Also he sent me the confirmation email he received from GoDaddy upon winning ouch.com...

So will the real owner of ouch.com please stand up!!!

I want to make this public:

    1) I will not pay nor give back the domain to the person who is selling it to me known here as member domainp until all what relating with the ownership of Ouch.com and whit is sale history will be 100% clear.

    2) I will give back the domain to the legitimate owner
(or pay him the $3000 sale price if he prefers and agrees) as soon as it will be 100% clear who he/she is.

    Thanks,
    Attilio

    Soooooooooo,

Allen won Ouch.com through GoDaddy then sold it to DomainP ?

Perhaps the WHOIS INFO has not been updated yet.

Moderator Note: This thread will stay open. Although the situatiuon is curious, no foul play has been proven yet as has been suggested via PM. Work the details through. I am sure (hope) it is a misunderstanding somewhere.

The whois info indicates that attilio is now in possession of the domain, so domainp did at least have control of it.

As for how it got from a to b to c remains somewhat of a mystery.

OUCH.COM, the true owner is me

HI folks, I was the victim of a scam..I got OUCH.com from a GoDaddy backorder and on august 3rd i sold it to someone in kentucky, he scammed me out of the money and cancelled his echeck. I am in the process working with the person who has the name in his account and hope that the proof that I have and will provide him will allow him to transfer the name back to me, he is a very understanding person. so if there is a domain on ebay for ouch . com, don't bid on it. Thank you Allen Goldberg

    1) Allen Goldberg states and provided proff he won the domain with GoDaddy.

    2) Allen also provided proof that the person who bought the domain from him called (or callling himself) Everett Wan after getting the domain cancelled his Echeck payment.

    3) What happened after that and how Domainp got control of the domain is still unclear to me.

    4) I invite domainp to post here his version of the facts, in particular how he got possesion of the domain.

    5) I confirm that in any case I will give back the domain to the legitimate owner or pay him the sale price of $3000 if he prefers so, as soon as I will have clear who the legitimate owner is.

    Thanks,
    Attilio

I noticed last night that the new eBay auction for ouch.com had a different email address than the whois info and that it had not been used in 2 1/2 years.

I'm glad I trusted my gut and resisted the tempation to buy this domain and I'm glad I suggested Attilio be careful.

    What a mess...

I have just one question.. Why on Earth did you transfer the name to him before the eCheck cleared? I would not have done that in a million years.

Let's crank the bid up to $10,000,000 and make the scammer pay some eBay fees.

I would say domainp is the ebay seller since the reserve is met, coincidentally, at his $3000 price and was only listed about 12 hours ago.

    Thanks,
Attilio, you are doing right to hold the domain until the matter is resolved - don't be tempted into passing it back for possible misuse with someone else.
When something similar happened to me I passed the matter to my local Police Internet Crime Unit and they are pursuing matters with a view to action against the domain thief.
What has happened to you is the same as if someone was selling you a stolen car.
I still have the domains 4 months on, awaiting the outcome of police action.
