Another ridiculous decision by WIPO, but what do you expect when the Respondent defaults??

The panelists must just cut/paste from past decisions, when they get cases like this.

This decision goes against the recent trend denying relief to cities through the UDRP and STOP. For a complete list, see http://www.udrplaw.net/CityNamesResources.htm.

Back in July, Munich lost two STOP cases: muenchen.biz and munich.biz. The big difference between the Munich cases and the Potsdam case is that the registrant showed up in the Munich cases and the panelists were aware of the trend in cases against cities. What makes Potsdam any different than Heidelberg (http://arbiter.wipo.int/domains/deci...2001-1500.html)?
