Politicians are public figures, and fair game for comment.

my friend joshua owns PresidentBush.com and it gets hundreds of uniques daily, but unfortunately he is a GOPer and so there will be no mocking of the prez on his domain. if it was my site, i would have a lot of fun.
I own a GeorgeWBush domain (gTLD, not a cc)
I was approached before the elections AND after by the same individual to sell for what I consider a good amount. A good amount by me which is not a waste of time has to start with 5 numbers (and 6 for me to take it seriously).
I got such an offer.
Call it idiotic, or whatever you wish, I did not sell.
clearly, the IP showed the originating email to be from a potential hostile country acording to the US.
Now, I really do not care for Politians, nor politics. However, even though I could use the cash, I followed my own moral code and did not accept the offer.
This offer was very legit.
Had it come from an IP traceable to a Western nation, I would have sold. But, regardless of what I think of the current President of the USA, I will not, and can not accept to have my name in any way associated with a potentially scandlous site originating from a nation that harbors terorism.
it is easy through whois.sc to see the previous owner, so my not wanting to be associated with that outweighted the monetary figure (which was decent).
I do not get involved in polityics, but I dont want politics to be involved with me.
Other than that, John answered the Q very well.

I own bushbeetle.com and bushibeetle.com scientific names for mold beetles named after president bush, i cant imagine anyone buying the names with any other reason than making fun of the president(which I like) but i would still sell to highest bidder, regardless of your beliefs, or domain names, anyone can create a negative site with a following. Having said that i have several sites that appeal to teens and wouldnt knowling sell to a pornographer no matter the price.
Don't worry, little chance of bush Jr coming after you unless his dad wants the name!suppose i am the owner georgebush.com

Well, I meant in the 'axis of evil' sort of way lol
I have seen Canadian bacon so many times, it is an incredible movie and very much worth watching. Who would think that so many years ago, a movie could tell the reality that exists today.
