Exclamation Probate for Domains

There is a domain I'm buying that the sellers lawyer is helping out because they need to go to probate court to get permission to sell the name. The sellers husband died. How long does this process usually take. Are the probate requests for domains like this usually granted, its only a $2000 transaction.

Thanks

It takes as long as necessary, unfortunately. Could be weeks...months...who
knows?

Is this a .com or some other extension? Is the domain name registered to the
seller's husband? Who's the registrar?

Possibly too many questions and details to consider...

I have been in escrow on a transaction when the seller died and then I had to deal with the wife...Not to be unfeeling, but it was a nightmare...

In your situation, as a lawyer is already involved...it sounds like just a matter of time...My guess would be 3 months.
