Yofie, look at the bright side.
You lost opportunity and time, but, you still have your money
There are many who lost money as well.

Understand that without knowing all the details, its hard to provide a perfect answer.

However, you should know that if you had an agreement, you would likely have options to enforce the agreement. There would be many intricate facts that would need to be analyzed, but if you felt that a deal had been struck, and the facts backed that up, you would have a right to complete the deal, despite his trying to get out of it.

Really, it depends on how much you want the sale. If you want it and think its a great value for you, it may well be worth fighting for it. If it's not that big a deal, then it's probably best to let it go.

Feel free to get in touch if you want to talk about it in more detail.

    What options do I have?

Secondly another thing to point out, is the listed Admin contact is the person who I delt with, as the Registrant is not listed on whois. Now this person is saying they didn't have Legal Rights to be selling the domain name. This just happened to come up "now" after he agreeded to sell, accepted the terms at Escrow etc.

    Please help if you can.

we are waiting for the name? If you consider yourself part of this community, then i suggest you protect us all from exposing the company.. otherwise I will assume you are lying!!!

Please understand im trying to get the facts placed on the table.... domainers of dnforum deserve to know who is cheating !!!!

That's really the most realistic answer here.

    Just an update....

Well, I am still trying to work with the seller. So we will see..... For this reason, I will not disclose the business name. I am 99% sure nobody has worked with them in a domain transaction. They are not a member here on the forum, nor any other domain forums etc. If the deal falls threw, I will publicly display the company name, as I have No Fear. Plus there is no reason why I can't post it!

As for why I am not listening to the majority that stated to "Move On" or "Forget it" etc. Sometimes, I just really get sick of getting pushed around and I think it's time to take a stand. The fact is, the seller agreeded to a price (twice really, once via email, then agreeing to the Escrow transaction) then later backs out. I think I would have a very strong case in court.

Also, yes, the "buyer" has to pay the Escrow fee if the seller backs out, because escrow said, "how else would they get money from the seller"... Ahhh maybe if you state that if the seller backs out, they pay the fee, with the CC on file or create a Bill or whatever! lol

Again, I am still in contact with the seller, will be talking with Cyberlaw tomorrow, as I have forwarded all emails to him and Eric also agreeded I would have a strong case......

More to come in the New Year!
