Question Starting a Chargeback with my Bank on Paypal Credit Card Transaction

I paid someone for something using my credit card via Paypal. They didn't deliver and I am outside of the time window for a complaint through Paypal.

If I start a chargeback on it with my bank, they will obviously take the money from Paypal who will in turn try to take it from the person who scammed me.

But will anything adverse happen to my account/standing with Paypal if I do this? Like if they can't get the money off the scammer will they just try take it off me again?

Thanks!

Depends if PayPal protests it or not. If you didn't get what you paid for then they really have no reason to protest it.

If they don't protest it then you're in the clear. If they do protest it then you may have to send information about what happened, any correspondence between you and the seller, etc..

That's fine, I can handle that all my bank.

I just want to know if I go this route if Paypal will try mess with my account to restrict their losses when they can't get the money off the scammer?

OK thank you.

While the transaction was much larger, only $50 was via credit card and the rest on PP balance... so I guess I will leave it then.
