    TM issues

    Hi,
i wish to list at GreatDomains one domain i own but there could be USA TM issues, i already checked and in Europe the name has no TM for classes 20, 24 , 27 and 42.
Can i feel safe submitting it ?
And, to be correct, what do i have to write to an eventual buyer about TM ?
    Thx for answering.

    Re: TM issues

imo.......you should not offer this TM name @ GD

i have found, it is best to keep these names under the "radar".

marketing the name via ppc's to achieve revenue would be my advice, this would provide statistics to validate your asking price.........should an "unsolicited" offer arise.

additionally, with "GD" , you have an "exclusive" contract!

I congratulate you on having the "guts" to admit you don't know what
    "PPC" means.

A couple years ago, I would have asked the same question.

PPC refers to Pay Per Click.

There are a number of members on this forum highly skilled in traffic/PPC.

However, when I have a question I go to the "grey haired" expert HiOsilver.

I have some "old" domains i regged years ago but that time i wasnt interested in trading stuffs.
Thanks you for the url and the advice.

There is a NAF-UDRP ruling that a name can be sold. But it depends on various
factors, including the "kind" of name.

Can you give a clue as to what kind of name is it? Don't specify the name,
    though.

Is it unique like kodak? Common like apple?

    Re: TM issues

    Excellent advice by Biggedon.

Offering a domain that may raise trademark issues on a large “domains-for-sale” venue such as Great Domains could quickly cause some problems.

You would be best advised to pursue other options.

Also, keep in mind that trademark law is not black and white. If you own a valuable domain and are unsure about trademark considerations, consulting with an attorney who specializes in that area would be quite helpful.

    Good luck.

If it's a blantant infringement of a famous mark, forget it. I've seen some naive attempts lately for domains like photoshop.ws and ebaypaypal.com - those can really get you into the steam room where no known species survives.

    Unique, .CC extension
And I think GreadDomains usually prefer .com / .net

Actually they list .com, .net, .tv, .org, .us, .biz, .info and .cc domains.
Of course they prefer .com and .net but if the domain is really good they dont mind.

For example I also own unique .biz (overture > 100K). But, I still do not understand what the hell I can do with it.
    Any suggestion?
