Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!I was perusing the list of pending WIPO cases, and it looks like there are some interesting ones in the queue:
http://arbiter.wipo.int/domains/cases/all.html
1) arcade.com -- should be an easy win for the existing registrant, go Mike
2) hockeycanada.com -- seems generic enough to me, go Igal aka "Mrs Jello"
3) wellesleyhotels.com -- another generic, should be a win for respondent
4) 24poker.com -- should be a closer decision, assuming the complaint was brought by 24hpoker.com
5) partybackgammon.com -- probably brought by PartyGaming/Partypoker; there are a lot better typos that they should go after, lol; this should be interesting because PartyGaming likely didn't have a backgammon product, and don't have a TM for "Party" alone. But, I think the panel might "reach" on this one, and give it to the complainant.
6) thelittleprince.com -- I actually tried to buy this domain years ago, for sentimental reasons. It's a fantastic book. The owners of the book rights might be going after it, in case there's a movie, or something. With no US trademark on the book title, though, they might be facing an uphill fight, unless the respondent defaults. If you've not read this book, you should!

7) melaniatrump.com -- a parody site, and it was registered before she got married (and thus before she had rights to the name). But, the respondent is linking to pages with ads, so the panelists might make a reach and give it to the lady. If it was brought at NAF, instead of WIPO, the current owner could kiss this domain goodbye, and NAF would write a glowing press release afterwards
8) johntesh.com -- should be an easy win for him
9) tommylee.com -- should be another easy win; one wonders what took him so long

im confused about arcade.com. how in the world could a generic term like that be in dispute?
That's the point, Aerrial -- some companies like to roll the dice and file cases without any merit. Perhaps they're hoping for a default judgement.
Hopefully Mike turns around and gets a reverse domain name hijacking verdict against them.

guess your right. not a bad deal to spend a couple thousand bucks to get a name thats worth 100 times more.
We'll be seeing more and more of them cropping up as long as complainants
have the time and money to burn.
Vidi, Vici, Veni!
Reading through that site, a good majority of these are ridiculous !
Interesting list :0
As for hockeycanada.com... Hockey Canada is a real organisation in canada (since 1994 from their site) hockeycanada dot ca
But people who saw for how much hockeycanada.com went in snapnames
And If I would lose it, I would cry

Hopefully, he hired one of our top lawyers to defend him.
MelaniaTrump.com just got decided in Mrs. Trump's favour:

This was interesting because the domain was registered before her marriage. But, the single panelist still found "bad faith".

You know that Trump's ego is a driving force for him. So, you know he will come afterOriginally Posted by GeorgeK
you with "both barrels".
Isn't this similar to taking a swing at Chuck Norris?
And, you are then surprised that Norris defended himself with excessive force.
Speculating about Trumps personality, I'm surprised that Donald didn't sue him
for damages.
Anyone know of 3 letter cases?
I hear they're now going after names with unstated Cockney inferences. I hear Mr. Trump is on the warpath after goingforadonald.com...
Crazy stuff.
There are lots of 3-letter cases. Just go through:

At least www.donaldtrump.com now resolves (for a long time, it was an error page, although I wrote their lawyer to mention it).

Some of the names are interesting. Hope it works out for the party that should have the name.
JohnTesh.com was a win for the musician. See the ruling at:
