    Using trademarked names.

I noticed there are hundreds of Hummer names for sale but not mercedes and porche.

Ebayadvisor.com, ebaycrafts.com are for sale, but Ebay.com is trademarked.

Can one combine a trademarked name like microsoft and add forum. or news at the end.

One could use napsterforum.com or napsternews.com

    Would Napster sue and win?

creating a name like this is in most cases illegal and if the company who owns the Trademark wants to, it could go after you and win the name in WIPO

I think in the case of ebay, they want buzz and extra websites talking about how to make money. They have other people doing the marketing for them.

I was looking at names for tabletpc. which is owned by microsoft.

There are many variations such as tabletpcbuzz.com, tabletpctalk.com

I go to amdzone.com alot but they are very pro amd, so I guess AMD allows them to publish.

It seems it depends on what each company want to do.

I would say eBay sends out alot of letters but enforces very little.
