Washington Mutual phishing attempt

Here's the link I just received in my email:

http://66.155.183.234/..%20/login.pe...email=&userid=

Note how the IP address takes you to auroracorporate.com. I have already contacted Washington Mutual regarding this.

I myself saw this and it can with an e-mail that said someone has tryed to access your account. This was multi passwords that failed to log on and if you don't contact of at washingtonmutual.com your online account will no longer be active.

I do bank with them so I contacted my bank. They said they don't e-mail anyone
so if you get e-mail like that don't go inside.
This is a phishing scam.

Nine times out of ten, if you call the IP block owner and manage to get someone clueful on the telephone, you can shut down a phishing site in real time. In this instance, the contact is a downstream from paetec.com:

Thanks for that info. I just tried calling them, but they weren't open, so I will try them in the morning. Hopefully, there won't be too many people affected.
