Six months to write the complaint? What did they write it on, granite tablets?

Without looking at the article, I'm guessing this is another "celebrity name" case.

I still don't understand why these cases seem to attract so much press.

It's like having headlines in the paper saying:

"Man Fined For Overstaying Metered Parking"

"Astronomer Predicts Sunrise Tomorrow Morning"

"Vatican Confirms: Pope Catholic"

"World's Oldest Virgin Found In Florida Law Office"

Didn't you know most of the law is still written in Linear B?

Is it any wonder they did not respond The win was a no brainer. Why 6 months for case preparation, looks like it could be done in 1 hr or less.

Apparently, the monkey in the mailroom was assigned his first case... he needed this much time to learn to hold the pen to hand write the declaration... hence, the 6 months.

...although I do like Marc's Granite Tablet idea too...

I find so-called main-stream media only panders to the lowest common denominator, and as we know, if it bleeds it leads.

Your headlines above would be refreshing to some of the 'news' I've seen on CNN/Fox/MSN lately. No wonder the majority of Americans prefer Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert for the latest information. [Note: ...and so do I. (-: ]

John Berryhill is going to be the next Jon Stewart!

Yesterday I was hiking up a local mounain near the city (San Diego) here. As I go up, 3 fire trucks roar in with lights and sirens, and a helicopter arrives overhead. After circling, a cable is lowered and someone is lifted to the helicopter, and all go away.

I figure I'll see what happened in the news.

NOPE. Today's lead story was that a statue of a wholly mammoth is being carried by truck from Chicago to the local zoo. I have no idea how that could even be considered news, let alone a lead story.

OH YEAH. The local paper is goingv bankrupt and they're not sure why.
