Then after I gave him everything, he never gave me the domain and kept the $450 as well + the domains I gave him.

    Their paypal id is

    onlinesales@dr.com

Now yesterday, I got an email from

    vendor@null.net

    and is selling me null.net.

    HERE IS THE MAIN PART
I checked the whois info of null.net today

    World Media Group, LLC
    ATTN Domain Inquiries ()

    Fax:
    90 Washington Valley Rd., #1128

    US

then i checked the whois info of dr.com and it is also the same.

    World Media Group, LLC
    ATTN Domain Inquiries ()

    Fax:
    90 Washington Valley Rd., #1128
    Bedminster, NJ 07921
    US

Its "World Media Group" one of the worlds biggest domaining companies. I cant understand that they scammed me!! Please I need a solution and need your guideance and support. Can they do this?

I am deciding to forward this issue to the police and get the domain that they are supposed to give me.

Congratulations. This thread is #3 under World Media Group.
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&s...q=f&oq=&aqi=g4
    You might get their attention.

Are you sure they were the ones that bought it?
Or, did someone else rip you off and then sold the domains to World Media?

I can't imagine World Media doing that to you especially over such a small amount of money.

I can see Domain Gang discussing this.

I thought World Media was a different company.
I just looked again and it was not who I thought they were.

Maybe, they did rip you off?

World Media Group is a well known and respected company who owns about 1400 domains, including ones like lawyer.com; I find it hard to believe that they scammed you as you indicated. I would check into this much closer and (privately) before accusing them of anything like this in a public forum.

When I went to WorldMediaGroup.com, it was a dvd company.

The company I initially thought of was www.World.com .
And, I would be very surprised if they ripped you off.

Yes, Earlier I was getting scammed by that person selling me pet.com. I just cant understand the connection between isellrose@gmail.com and world media group. Is isellrose their partner or what. Also, I am getting direct mails from worlmedia's secure webmail i.e vendor@null.net and giving me the offer to buy null.net for $1000.

Why would they sell it that low, also it is cumming from their domain webmail. I dont know what to do.

this is an interesting case IMO. Could you try and furnish more details, as much as possible, basically the full story, and we will try and get to the bottom of this.

The first thing that i found weird was the Paypal name, Nancy Mcsen, a very unusual Scottish sounding name, i have found one from Boston in 1870, which would make her 140 years old plus! So i guess we can rule her out for starters.

Now i note you had a reversal on the Paypal, what happened there? Did you reverse the payment? Is this the issue?

OK, so i see from Johnn you are dealing with the Pakistani fool who was trying to sell pet.com on here. (BTW, i won that domain fair and square for 1.2 million monopoly dollars, he should not be selling it to anyone but me!)

Seriously though, how did worldwidemediallc get involved in this? Has he used their whois for the scam?

First of all this is the full story.

    1) I got scammed
    2) The paypal address was World media Group's i.e onlinesales@dr.com
    3) I could get my money back but not the domains, the whois info of the domains was changes many times. ( I bought those domains aswell, I was not the root person who registered them )
    4) Then I get email from vendor@null.net giving me a total bargain. null.net for only $1000.
    5) then I check the whois for null.net and it matched totally with dr.com which is World Media Group!!
    6) The first time got scammed, the email address that they used for interaction was isellrose@gmail.com and payment was sent to onlinesales@dr.com

This is the summary. All proofs are in the screen shots.

This is what I'm thinking, he had you pay the $450 to the legit company (DR.com, a worldwidemediallc company), but he took the domains himself, and put worldwidemediallc WHOIS on it, so you think they are the ones that scammed you, thats why worldwidemediallc returned the money, or you reversed it, because they never asked for it.

In a week or two, when you give up and no one believes you, he will transfer the domains to another registrar and put his Pakistani WHOIS back on, then sell them to someone else.

If you then send an email to him (after he changes the WHOIS back) asking how he has your domains, he will claim he bought them from worldwidemedialllc. he never intended to scam any money, only the domains, the payment was his cover to make it look like worldwidemediallc scammed you.

Thats how this is being done IMO.

Of course it is entirely possible also he has hacked into worldwidemediallc's paypal account.

Maybe someone in the US should give them a bell and see whats going on.

Seems pretty obvious what happened. He kept the domains and had you send the money via PayPal to World Media Group, knowing that if he had you send the funds to his PayPal account, you would just reverse the transaction once you discovered the scam. Pretty clever of him to also change the WHOIS to World Media Group. I'd say this scammer earned his domains, unless you were duped into thinking you were getting pets.com in return, in which case you deserve what you got.

And by the way, null.net for $1,000 sounds about right - in fact, I think I'd probably pass on it at that price.

yea, you have a point there. Ill contact World media Group with a new email address and ask them for null.net and dig out the info some how. If thy say its not their, the its that person and he changed the whois info.

Well I had to open a dispute to get back my $450.

    Lets see what the result.

I can confirm 100% that indeed the scammer is the pets.com Pakistani guy, a domain he owned at the time of that scam was igang.info, and i noticed after being busted on here he changed the whois to this, the same as your domain t0d.com. He originally had his Pakistan WHOIS on his domains, but a memeber on here posted his digg profile with photos in Pakistan i think from memory, so he has now used Katmandu as his address it appears, unless he on sold this domain to the same guy as he sold igang.info.

He has though now put privacy on igang.info. It also appears he has on sold your other domains to three different American guys, two domains two one guy, unless these are bogus whois also.

I would get on it ASAP if i was you if want to stand any chance of getting any of the domains back.

This guy is a bloody domain terrorist IMO.

Hang on a minute, i see igang.info has been confiscated, not ID protection.

That is an excellent possibility. I never thought of that.

It just didn't make sense that a major domainer would cheat you over such a minor amount of money. Or any amount.

    Axeman, thanks.
