Actually Google relaxed their rules governing disclosure of revenue amounts several years ago...

"However, You may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to You pursuant to the Program."

See item 7 in the Google AdSense Terms & Conditions.

    Cheers,

I've had Google Ad-sense for a few days now and am already making money, I'm not real familiar with advertising on websites but Ad-sense is very easy to use. All in all I'm glad I choose to go with Google Ad-sense.

adsense rules are always very strict. I think the best is to get reviewed by adsense team before start.

I have read that you are only allowed to put 3 ad units + 3 link units on a page. Could someone tell me what exactly an ad unit is, and a link unit?

I have designed my mini-site pages with two large rectangles per page, one top and one bottom, in each of which there seem to be three ads. Are these two rectangles breaking the rules I mentioned above?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Makes sense, the accounts I had closed also were making over $100/day at different points. They usually sent warnings before though, which I either ignored or didn't fix completely. Now I'm obviously more careful with adsense.

I'm thinking of opening another account, it will be for the same name as one they closed years ago, but different address, email etc. Anyone done that, do you think it might work?

Seems pretty clear each of those is an ad (or link) unit, so you are fine.

    why adsense blows
    a. they do not share revenue properly, 100 clicks on google are often a fraction of that on content sites, so they do not sell advertisers the real cpc terms
    b. google has people acting like they need jobs, so they are like cops on a quota system, try to set up a new map listing, no matter what you do you hit a % of rejects, a quota, same with adsense, you manage adsense for clients X percentage will eventually be canceled for no legit reasons and they don't give reasons, some moron doing a BS job to make investors think you need more than 3 people to run google, it could all be automated, no human element but then investors would say, ok, a company with almost no employees, they create jobs to make it look like a 'real traditional business', it's not, it's automated scripts with a moronic human element that do more damage to google than good IMO
    c. most sem managers are sem managers due to one thing, they know how to exclude adsense from sem buys, adsense is ripe with fraud, it blows IMO
