    AdSense Rules

DomainNameWire.com ran a story today about a Google AdSenseBlog post:

Fiction: Publishers can put ads on auto-generated pages or other copied content that was not created by them.
Fact: We don’t allow sites with auto-generated or otherwise unoriginal content to participate in the AdSense program. This is to ensure that our users are benefiting from a unique online experience and that our advertisers are partnering with useful and relevant sites.
Sometimes we come across sites that are using software to generate automated content. These sites might look like normal news sites, but the information is completely plagiarized. Scraping content and passing it off as one’s own is not only wrong, but it also happens to be a serious violation of our policies
Those are quotes they pulled from the AdSense Blog.

So does this mean that running my AdSense on my DNF Content minisites is in violation of G's rules? Am I risking them banning my AdSense account?

Interesting! That's a new one. Never heard of adsense banning accounts for duplicate content, but there were many bans for autogenerated content

duplicate content is treated as infringement by major search engines.... how many of us have seen 2 domains pointing to same Hosting and see the ranking, indexing to it.. it mostly punishes one or both of them... i really do not know the logic behind it anyhow,,, but duplicate content is strict no no .

automated softwares - need to look into it.... how they define it !

Having had a few Google accounts closed over the last 6 years, Google Adsense sometimes closes account without much reason.

They tend to scrutinize you more if you make more.

I have never had any accounts shut down making less than $100 a day.

I keep debating if I should use Google adsense on my websites, seems like there's a good amount of money you can make if you do it right.

It's definitely worth it as it gives you a revenue stream.

Tough choice, I really could use a little extra income since i'm flat broke and don't want to pawn anything off for money. I think I'm going to wait and see if my website's traffic keeps increasing, then I think I'll use adsense.

Interesting. How did you get back in? New email addresses / bank accounts / ???, or do you have a human to contact?

My adsense account has never been shut down, but adwords account shut down for no apparent reason a year or 2 ago.

You need two things to make it worth your while...

    1) Lots of traffic.
    2) Good ad placement.

Once you make over an average of about $50 per day, google will have someone look at your account, if you even loosely break any terms(which are their own grey areas) the account will be closed, good for adding some revenue but i would not suggest anyone using it as a business model.
Their bots also will flag a site or account for hundreds of reasons...have a cancer type site? many words are considered "adult" by the "bot" and the site will get banned, just an example.

Worrying... They haven't closed my account yet, but it makes around $150 per day - most from one single site.
It would be disaster if they would close the account for something in *another* site, which all makes peanuts.
Perhaps I should make sure to have two separate accounts, where the major site is in its own account...

Yes, always have a backup account if you count on the revenue, leave your good site in one account and move the smaller sites to their own account.

    Why Park Sucks

I had all my sites banned by google and their reason was duplicate content. Whypark.com assured me this would not happen and when I compalined to them they got all upset and banned me as well. I would say that origianal content rules the waves in my expereince....why park will not anser any of my compalints and I feel mislead by their advertising....which they still promote now. Not very good for the naive domaineer.

    Impressive...

If you're pulling in $150 per day from Adsense, you could probably do well by integrating other direct advertiser relationships (via CJ / LinkSynergy, etc) so that all your revenue is not tied exclusive to GOOG...
