    Angry Irrelevant Sponsor Listings

I just added Goneapeweb.com to namedrive
    Selected Category: insurance
    Selected SubCategory: Car Insurance
    KeyWord: Car Insurance

All traffic, per test on my own server, seems to come from auto insurance type sites.

Why does Namedrive, more often that not, display Sponsored Listings for:
Website Development, Web Hosting, ..., ?

In otherwords, stuff that has nothing to do with car insurance!

    Re: Irrelevant Sponsor Listings

    Hi warnerms,

It seems your two posts relate to Google rather than NameDrive. Our keyword implementation is merely a suggestion to Google. They will also scan the domain name to see if it is relevant. In the case that it is not, we cannot guarantee that Google will return the desired ads on the page, especially in the case of high-paying ads such as car insurance. Taking goneapeweb.com, it is not immidiately obvious that it is a car insurance domain, and I would suggest that the lack of CTR is that almost every site sending traffic to it seems to be part of some ex-insurance spam network, which will naturally lead to lower click throughs.

I hope this clears up your question.
