I am sure you had a lot of fun with the SNES
We all wish we could go back and do things differently. It is how we do things from now forward is what really counts.

It's only relatively recently I've started trading domain names, but my interest in this line of business stretches back to when I was a young teen in the mid 90s! I remember wanting to buy a few domains but not being able to convince my parents to shell out for the domain registration -- this was when NetSol still had a monopoly.
I think I ended up buying a SNES with my pocket money instead. (Probably not the WORST thing I could have done with my money, I must admit.)
But let's just say I *really* regret not making some purchases back then -- the domains I had in mind are worth six figures now, last time I checked!
Anyway, it's great to be here -- I hope to be a generous participant in these forums and also to learn from the best!

GDay Mate, and Welcome to DNF!
I used to live in Sydney during 2000 (Coogee, the Cross, and the northside somewhere where I forget the name) - had the best time of my life! (from what I recall)
Like you and many others here (with 20-20 hindesight), I was surfing the Web back in '92 and simply never clued-in to buying names, as much as I knew then the Web was going to capture everyone's imagination.
Oh well, as the French say: C'est la vie!

PS: I still Only use my Atari 2600 - these new fandangled contraptions just complicate matters for me :S Party-on Wayne!

Thank you everyone for the very warm welcome -- I really appreciate it!
NostraDomainus: Funny you mention Coogee, because that's exactly where I live. But not for much longer -- I'm moving to Melbourne in two weeks. Sydney has a great lifestyle, and I'm sure I'll miss it.
In my teenage mind, I think I had some notion that these domain names were valuable, but I never wildest dreams imagined they would turn out to be that valuable. C'est la vie, indeed!
DomainBell: I wear many hats, and one of them is a website developer. My current line of work is as an interaction designer for mobile applications, though!
ezimedia: Great to see another Aussie here!
Poker: No doubt in mind that this is the best domain forum on the planet, if not the universe (are there extraterrestrial TLDs yet?)!
Hope to see everyone around!

Good on ya DBell!
When I lived in Oz, the people were just fantastic!
FYI soakwashrinsespin, I lived on quaint 'Rainbow Street' and did just as much hacky and 'bee on Coogee Beach as I did drinking VB (love the VB!).
I forget the name of the bar on the other side of Coogee Bay, but I sharked many an Aussie @ pool and even skunked a few (as I assume you know the consequence of being skunked @ pool in Oz is?) - but simply had the time of my life living their during the 2000 Olympics (and working for them too)!
Also, I worked for the ANZ Bank downtown, and of course, drank many a VB in Darling Harbour (not to mention In the bank after hours as well, not to also mention my boss bought me beers every day for lunch!), but as I was thinking (in response to DBell's Question(s)), your nickname was possibly choosen because of your affinity with 'Chinese Laundry'??? Awesome spot!
The philosophy for working in Syndey was/is great too: "It's too Hot to Work hard!"
Love how you put beet root on burgers, mmm!

PS: Please don't mind the ramblings, but I Love Oz!! (-:
