Thumbs up For the ADMIN/MODS : petition to reward the user Rubber Duck

Hi, I think what is fair , it is just fair.

I would like to say thank you to the user Rubber Duck because he is really a big help in the IDN section , expert, friendly , helpful.

I am here asking to the staff if they can consider him to be an asset to the community and reward him with a free Exclusive membership would be just fair ( in my point of view of course ).

With this, I hope that I`m not against the rules but I really wanted to express my best thank you to him.

    Best regards

Not to say that he doesn't deserve it - but there are plenty of other people who have contributed as much. If they were to reward him with a membership, they would be compelled with others as well.

    what's an IDN?

I agree with daddypi - there are dozens of members who would deserve such an upgrade if we started down that path...

He's so rich from IDN names he doesn't need to get it for free lol.

well, I agree, I`m sorry if my message may appear in a bad way but I think any user who really helps so much, so not only Rubber Duck , would deserve a reward from the Admin.
I joined this community only 2 months ago so I`m sure there have been other very helpful users, but then, I really think they are the main asset of the community. Many people just read or ask like me, very rarely can help others due to lack of time or other reasons so I think that the Admin should think about it.

    Thanks anyway for you opinions.

Thanks very much for your encouragement.

I am not looking to establish any presidents here, and I may well upgrade my membership at some point. Just missed the latest special offer so I will probably hang on for another promotion.

Frankly, I find the IDN market a reward in itself, not just financially but also at an intellectual level. If is far more challenging and addictive than the ASCII market, unless of course you Chinese.

    Yours, Rubber Duck

Please note that any historic offers over a month old are null and void.

    I've been looking, I can't find anything. I don't spend much time in IDN's. Got a link?

It is a 3 day ban because we receivbed and confirmed he spammed users with this message, it is not permanent but we cannot tolerate this.

IMO, do not feel it's appropriate to talk about other domain forums here in competition with this forum, with a link to it in a Post as Named did above, or as done by RD.

First off, ********s is not in direct competition with dnf. They only deal in IDN.

Secondly, why not? This is a place to learn, not hide information from it's members, some of whom have laid out some pretty $$ to be here.

Memberships here are lifetime. It's not like at the end of a year you have to decide whether to rejoin here or go somewhere else.
I don't think forums are mutually exclusive either, I think people often join more than one...in fact it is clearly recognized and acknowledged that people often join more than one.

But overtly marketing another forum...that's different than just mentioning one.

If DNF spends the money to advertise their site, what is the point in letting another site with the same niche come and advertise for free or spam? If they want to advertise their forum they can go elsewhere. It is just like walking into a Ford dealership to look at a truck and there is a sign that says come visit the Dodge dealership for a truck down the road.

Although the other site only deals in IDN's, DNF has IDN forums. If DNF didn't provide forums related to IDN names it wouldn't be an issue. It is only three days (which I don't see he is banned anymore) so he learned not to spam.
