Some of you know I hate Reigister.com with a passion. They took a domain away from me six months after I'd registered it claiming an "internal audit revealed someone else beat me to the name by 1/100th of a second". They cost me $45,000.00.
Because Snapnames hasn't seen fit to drop them as a partner, one of the names I picked up 60+ days ago went to them. So now I'm trying to fulfill a promise to myself to move it to another registrar now that my 60 days are up.
But there's a hitch. If I want my Auth Code to move it, I have to call a toll-free number between 9-6 EST for my code!!!?? WTF? No email option. No cyber code to prevent spam. Nothing.
Once again, they are lower than whalepoop, about one step below Network Solutions.
BackAlley.com Backhole.com BlackAfricans.com BrownWomen.com Breathers.com & More!
If you have to explain what your domain name means, give up, it's a crappy name!
Register.com are complete SHITE to say the very least. Avoid at all cost. I must have received 100 of these emails below. I keep telling them to stop sending emails and they never stop. I have no domains or services with them. When I did, it took weeks to get the security code by email to transfer away. Utter Crap, AVOID.

I just tried to contact Register.com through their online chat to talk about a domain name we have with them, but twice the chat request was cancelled after I had waited several minutes. Not impressive.
Compare this with GoDaddy, who rang me within a few minutes of my complaining here about a domain name being cancelled, and restored it to me immediately.
Update on how sleazy Register.com is.
Register.com now does not send out a warning that your domain will expire and they charge a $25 "re-instatement fee" the day after it expires - Yes - the day after it expires.
I knew a few of my names were coming up for renewal and I wanted to transfer them out...2 had expired the day before I checked...and I was hit with their new $25 fee per name. I quickly started the transfer process of all my names - out of Register.com.
I know. Why in the world would I ever have a name a Register.com as they are the worst registrar on the planet? yes, my bad for not moving the 16 names I have there from drops over the last year or so...and I should have checkd a week earlier - but as far as I know all other registrars give at least a small grace period.
