ok i have been researching this idn thing for a couple of weeks on and off- so, not understanding any more now than i did then- i took a stab at it, and for all i now i am way off base-
i registered this:

now- this said it is multilingual- and i think i registered "friendship" in chinese- just friendship.com in chinese

but- help me make sure please because that is too common of a word to not have been registered already- so i am sure i did not do it right

I'm guessing that you've already tried online translation tools like babelfish, but I gave it ago and noticed chinese - simp and chinese -traditional.

I have no idea about IDNs but I thought I'd post the screenshots here so it might help someone who knows more than me, to help you

every online translator i try says it is friendship. i think i got it right- still looking for feedback tho from anyone who knows more about this. gee, i hope it is right

It seems to be a correct term for friendship, however it's not the only chinese term. The first thing you should do is determine whether it is thé common or the most common term. First of all you can plug-in all the translations for "friendship" in google trends or overture, secondly you should look at the search engine results (amount,quality,ad presence) and if possible you might check the traditional variants (if they exist,they will appear on mdbg.net) in the taiwanese overture, finally and ultimately you can verify it with native speakers.

Just looking at the # of results with iask.com and baidu (chinese se) I'd say it's not a very popular translation. Also, 交谊 has no ads on baidu opposed to 友谊; http://www.baidu.com/s?wd=%D3%D1%D5x&cl=3 .

I would verify this with a native speaker, if so verified, I'd dump the name.
