Question Question about a new registration...

Ok. I need some help understanding the difference (if there is one) between 2 domains that refer to the same word, that are exactly the same except for a diacritical mark on one of the characters.

Let's say the domain name is a single word (a scientific term that's common, but not branded), and the only difference between two translations of the name is a special character mark on one of the letters. 1) will searches for the regular version of the word bring up the one with the special character, and also 2) are the two domains really seen as distinct?

Thanks for any insight you can offer.
