While the English loan word десктоп could be used, it is a foreign word and makes no sense, рабочий стол is in fact, desktop, and обои certainly means wallpaper. Angel, I suggest you visit http://www.desktopwallpapers.ru/ where it clearly says on top of the page "Новые обои для рабочего стола", "New wallpaper(s) for (your) desktop."

Do a search on десктoп on Google and you get back 37 (that's right thirty-seven) results. While рабочий стол get 2.3M results, with the first one being "Desktop Wallpapers".
