Speculation on the future VS. Reality
When will these numerics get the attention everybody predicts?
I would say that they are already getting it. In Asia they are already high profile, and several very popular English sites use numeric .com names. Also, people outside of the domain name industry are beginning to notice that these are not just ordinary names. This is what someone outside of the domainer community wrote:
So clearly, people understand that having a short numeric *means* something, and they will pay more attention than to content at a domain like first-wireless-payment.com.What has me interested in this website, is the domain name. It's a two number/letter domain, which many of you probably know, isn't cheap. Unless you had a domain like this locked up for a long while, it isn't something you could easily get your hands on without some big bankroll.
Nice domain name.
