which one would be a better value/cost more - NN.COM ending with ZERO? ( like 50.com)
OR
NNN.COM with TRIPLE identical digits (like 555.com)?
former
Former. By far. NNN.com ending in 2 zeros versus "normal" NN.com would be a closer contest.
50.com would make for a sweet name for ANY site.
Not that I wouldn't want 555.com. But for the same price, the answer is obvious. NN.com for its scarcity (100 variations - you have the middle 50.com) vs (1000 variations, the only way I see an NNN.com beating 50.com is in the case of 666.com or 911.com if random - meaning plays a bigger role).
Need developers reasonably priced, too many ideas, too little time.
why would 666.com be worth more than 50.com or 555.com?
For me and my money, NN is only 100 combinations. Plus, if any have ever dropped (not likely to happen now) then ICANN will not put them back into circulation.
But an NNN of meaningful numbers (as illustrated above) will also command a premium price on the market.
555 is a nice one and easily marketable. So is 50. Without obvious dollar value I would personally prefer the 555. But being a domainer and having such a choice I would make the $$.com choice being the 50. No question about it for me.
555 (given that is the number) can easily be coined and nicknamed. Fun comes to mind. when i see 50, age comes to mind, and 50 is not exactly a fun age. Ièm sure investment, retirement and insurance type services can be offered so there is money there.
Good Luck.

imo 666.com wouldn't be worth more than 50.com but could be worth more than 555.com
666 means something as well as being triple NNN
(666 is the devil's number)
555 is just a triple NNN and rare.
Some may value the fact that it has another meaning as an added benefit. A bit like the difference between 12.com and 13.com (13 is an unlucky number)
50.com v 555.com imho I would always go for 50.com even if market value was the same. Both are rare but I'd prefer a shorter name over one that has 3 numbers the same. I think it's much harder to brand 555 than 50. Of course it depends on your site and target audience. 50.com would have an obvious market... 555.com less so. And if you wanted to target 555.com at a younger friendlier cool crowd, when not go for a word.com or a couple of made up words?

I'd take the NN almost every time.

I take the triple identical nnn.com, 777.com pwns all.
Cost and value are all relative. All things being equal, I'd opt for the NN.
