The Chinese are very creative when it comes to numbers. For example, they use 3 for "delete", and 56 (five six, not fifty six) for "boring" or "lame".

Historically, a coup attempt to kill Mao was codenamed "Project 571", the numbers assimilate the pronunciation of armed (5) uprising (71).
Profoundly influenced by #Bauhaus, Nameslave unrepentantly embraces Minimalism in his #multimedia portfolio. His early works include an experimental adaptation of Chekhov’s Cherry Orchard using the #Minimalist method inspired at least partly by the music of Robert Fripp. His totally irrelevant M.Ed. dissertation examines Organizational Culture and Change Management.

Comparing with the United States; only 1 domain name in the top 100 U.S. web sites (according to alexa.com) contains a numeric in it's top level domain; which is tube8.com (a porno site) which currently ranks at #56 out of the top 100...

So the moral of the story is; As evidenced by a comparison of the Top 100 web sites... numerics obviously play a much more important role in Chinese culture than American culture.
