If possible, please say if value is for:
end user
developer
reseller
and also if possible, for stable or slightly growing populations that are currently at:
sub 1000
10,000
20,000 plus
All input appreciated.
Thanks.
Your benchmark for measuring will be the more famous (or infamous) zip codes such as 90210 (Beverly Hills) and 10005 (Wall Street) among a few others.
Lesser known are simply that, lesser known and perhaps only represent numbers. So I am really not sure what or how the market will value these. Try to talk someone out of 90210 and see what they want for a domain in any extension.
Plus, China zip codes are mostly NNNNNN (six).
For the record, ALL valid zip code domains are registered as .com
Thanks for your comments and observations.
Anyone prepared to give any actual appraisal values?
I did sell some .net zip codes for low xxx last week, so I know that the .com zips do have value.
Would anyone give the .coms a value of 5x or 10x the .net values?
I know some people value .nets at 10% or 20% of the .com.
Thanks again for any further input.
BTW there are no available zip codes as .net's either.
Can't give actual appraised values with no actual domain.
Even then, it will depend on many factors. You may be just referring to 5 number domains which the Chinese use quite often.
But overall you are talking 100,000 possible combinations and they simply will not carry the same weight and value with each one. Doubtful anyone would want to purchase my zip code as it is not anything like Rodeo Drive or Wall Street.
So alot of you NNNNN.com are going to be worth no more than reg fee for the sake of regging an NNNNN.com.
Thanks again for your comments.
Regarding which nnnnn.coms, I'm referring only to US zip codes. Sorry I didn't mention that in the original post.
Here are a few of the zip codes.
16123.com
Beaver County, PA
Estimated population in 2005: 2,151 (slight decline in population)
Estimated median household income in 2005: $50,021
75024.com
Plano, TX 75024
Estimated population in 2005: 22,376 (growing)
Estimated median household income in 2005: $80,171
07726.com
Englishtown, NJ 07726
Estimated population in 2005: 41,032 (growing)
Estimated median household income in 2005: $95,205
Do you have enough knowledge of the US zip code market to be able to give appraisals for these particular domains/stats?
Thanks again for any input.
I picked up a couple of these
85056.COM
1 Cities with ZIP Code 85056:
Phoenix, AZ (pop. 1,321,045)
89552.COM
1 Cities with ZIP Code 89552:
Reno, NV (pop. 180,480)
Domain Name News & Commentary www.WeeklyNames.com
so what could be the value of 90210 and 10005?
