I'm just starting in the domain world and I wonder if you could give me your opinion about 3rd level domains. Is it worthy to buy that kind of domains to resell them?
For example say that I can get a great keyword like poker or casino, but the extension is something like com.es, com.mx or any other like that. Should I buy it? (lets say poker.com.es or casino.com.mx)
I understand that shorter domains extensions are much better, however there are countries where those domains are not allowed so, what should in those cases?
When is worthy to take a 3rd level domain?
Any opinion or advice would be very appreciated, thanks and best regards!

I don't think they are worth buying. There isn't any market for them unless the name is keyword rich.

Thank you both for your answers.
etech-peter, could you please tell me an example of a keyword rich name?
I have several 3rd level names like love.xx.xx, lots.xx.xx, lot.xx.xx, poem.xx.xx, etc. Do you think they would worth anything?
By the way, I can tell you that none of those is registered in big countries so the only value would be the keyword :(.
Best regards!
Jandres4, I think it might be better to say that globally, 3rd level domains might have less value unless it's a key word. Someone in the US might not use poker.com.br but locally that domain could be worth allot. Those countries without second level domains will use the thrid level and I have heard of some good sales coming out of Brazil, for example. Hopefully that is helpfull. Cheers,
Acro
Thank you very much for your comments acronym007. I think you're right, I'll try to get 3rd level keyword domains only for big countries with developed markets.
Thanks again, best regards!
