Country: | Domain "testing"? I've read in a couple places where it sounded like people were saying you could register a domain, test it for traffic and then return it within 5 days and get a refund of most of your registration fee. Is this correct? If so is this a standard policy of all registrars or it varies? I have godaddy, but don't know what their policy is.... |

Country: | Re: Domain "testing"? So, how long do you have to START with the "testing" process? I bought a .org in August just to get a free private listing. (3 domains or more, deal)
All I'm using it for is to re-direct to the actual .com, but can I take that off and "test" it? Or does it have to be within 5 days of purchasing the domain? |

Country: | Re: Domain "testing"? Hey I have another question on this for anyone.... how do you do your testing? The way I was doing mine with godaddy was to sign up for free hosting, then install statcounter or google analytics code in index.html. But looks like Moniker does not offer free hosting. Is there a better way than how I was doing it? Thanks for all replies.... |

++++++++++++++++
It's actually called "Domain Tasting".
Bob Parson's of GoDaddy calls it "Domain Kiting".
So if you see that term you'll know it's refering to the same thing.
Be aware that many Registrars that allow you to drop a domain
within 5 days will charge you the 25 cents ICAAN fee.
