heh.

You should have responded with:

With your initial offer sir, you have concluded that I need this domain far more than you do.

I don't understand. If he thought it had expired, why was he offering $100 for it?

"Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong." - Murphy's Law
"We have nothing to fear but fear itself." - Legendary quote by FDR
"My name a Borat." - Borat Sagdiyev
I know these have nothing to do with domaining I just couldn't resist throwing them in. The first one can be somewhat related to domaining.

I owned phonetracking.org and had it set for GPS tracking devices.

I received a C&D from TRACFONE.com. I called them and said "you've got to be kidding me! My domain has NOTHING to do with cellphone service. I have it set up for GPS tracking."

the lady replied with "yeah...but you have a search window on there and it can be used to search google to find our competitors". {classic}

I said...."Then send a C&D to GOOGLE. if you want this name, you can BUY it from me, but it would be a waste of your money because people are not looking for your site when they come to mine".

Lightbulb

Celebrating one year anniversary of "Famous Quotes in Domaining" thread!

"Sorry, I don't want your crappy domain, but you can buy my bestdomainnameontheplanet.com for $10,000." -- unknown

...

"Well, do you want it? I've reduced the price to $1,000. Take it or leave it." -- still unknown
