I am about to 'domain' for the first time.
Sure I have developed a few websites before and I run a few companies , but this is the first time I am embarking on buying domains purely for monetizing visitor-traffic, rather than selling them goods or services at 'face value'.
I'm excited! (and also a little deflated after seeing some realising facts about domaining, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway)
Can I ask, why is name.com only 5.99 for a .com and why don't all the resellers use these guys?
I see a lot of WHOIS results with namecheap, GoDaddy, etc... but is that because the reseller gets their own TAG?
The only reasons I see in paying 50¢ more:
1) Get a TAG
2) Free pushes from other domainers
I want to order 50 domains... would name.com be the cheapest? I am prepared to put down $500 as a deposit with a registrar, but I can't see anywhere that is obvious.
Directi's .com price is 6.99 for Tier 5 super-resellers?!
Thanks!
Gabe

Name.com have +2$ more expensive renewals. I'd rather take GoDaddy (6,95$ with coupon) or moniker (7,29$) so I have same price later.
