Hosting: Linux or Windows?

I am Getting ready to develope one of my prized domains,

Was looking into the Godaddy deluxe hosting service for only like 6 bucks a month. seems like a good snap.

It says To choose Linux/Windows server operating system. which is best for a newbie?

Does anyone have any ideas onto which operating system i should choose if i were to develope site with godaddy? does it really matter?

It depends on your application.
If it requires PHP, MySQL then go with Linux
ASP, MS SQL, Access ==> Windows.
