How do you make $$$ off parked domains?

Hi there,

I am very new to this industry but I am trying to learn as I go.

I have a question ...

I have approx. 100 domains and some of them are getting quite a bit of traffic. I parked my domains at parked.com and i'm getting approx. 0.35$ / daily off of 58 parked domains. Not that great really ...

Here are some stats:

409 15 $6.75 3.67% $0.18 $2.76

So i am wondering if someone could shed some light on how i can improve this.

Do i need to switch my domains to somewhere else (sedo for example)?

How can i send more traffic to my domains? This is a new thing for me since the domains are not actually being hosted with a website so i dunno where and how to submit my domains to SE and other places.

Can i buy traffic specifically for parked domains?

And finally where can i get more info, tutorials, and resources on making $$$ off of parked domains?

Well, you're at the right place. I learned alot by browsing DNForum, and searching through the old articles.

Many suggest testing different services. Different sites may be better for different domains. And you can't buy traffic to send to the domains, otherwise you'll violate the terms of the parking service.

And it also boils down to the domains themselves. You might want to consider developing the domains that aren't getting that much traffic.

Yah i am planning to search the forums quite a bit.
What do you use to search for good domains to buy?

I just bought DRT but it's hard to find some good domains. And when you do they are gone within seconds.

Also i find it frustrating to find domains that are PR5+ and find out that it's fake ...

From Parked.com TOS:

# Permitted, compensated traffic can originate from two sources only:
# type in (direct navigation) traffic and
# existing search engine results/expired traffic.

Is that clear enough for you? Read TOS before signing up.

also, you have to know where your traffic is originating from , as you say that these domains are at parked.com , they use a yahoo feed which blocks clicks from foriegn countries for the most part., turkey , india , and many many other countries.

it looks like your names, if they are "keyword domains", are not optimized properly. or they have not been parked long enough for them to be optimized.

this i can see from the low click rate percentage of "3.67%".

the other reason may be your domains have no keywords and could just be untargeted traffic

you can try different parked domain sites.. domainsponsor is pretty good

25 to 40% would be in the "good" range, some may do "excellent" and do more.

By the looks of it, Namedrive has been excellent for me. I have a CTR of 30% with no optimization.

NameDrive is Cool, but I will try parked.com, too !

i am parking at namedrive.com the recent daily average revenue is mostly $0.02 and few $0.05 per click !

i have about 400 domains, then how much can do you think i wiil make in parking revenue at namedrive.com this month?

the key arguement here is simply to find out from where your domains' traffic is originating from. Namedrive pays pretty well for names with traffic originating from Europe while Sedo PPC is best for the USA. I hope this helps.

I get pretty much unique traffics for my domains......

That's way i registered at parked.com today.

Also, i will register domainsponsors.com too !
