    How important is the extension?

    Hi, I am new to all this so I have a quick question. How important is the extension? Would it be worth while registering something like loans.vc? Does the extension just ruin it? Or because the keyword is so good is it worth something?

    I have found a few that I quite like but, I only intend to resell them rather than develop them.

    Well I think the extension does matter from the resale point of view. If you buy a good name with not a very popular extension and you intend to develop it, then I don't think there should be any problem but if you buy a name just to resell it then better get a popular extension like .com, .net, .info or .org.

    If one is talking non-com, must mention .US, .BIZ, .TV as viable extensions along with net, info, org. (.VC) is not intuitive in America but may have applicability within that country if english is spoken ... particularly for top words like "loans".
