    Where is this ranking?

You don't know what softwood is? Perhaps it is a British term.

There are different list of keywords ranked by frequency:
    http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktio...requency_lists
    Web 1T 5-Gram

BNC - BRITISH National Corpus (for British words):
    ftp://ftp.itri.bton.ac.uk/bnc/all.num.o5 (large file)

Also don't forget that English is not the only language, you have to multiply you estimate by 3-4.

I would agree with 3-6K area for one worders and most of these are .COMs. Of course we shouldn't forget major country codes and some long but memorable names such as the famous 'ForSaleByOwner.com' and 'AsSeenOnTV.com' plus its not always that predictable. Would you have really guessed that 'iReport.com' would be worth $750K? CNN wanted it and someone here held out for that and got it! I would have probably sold that name through sedo for $2.5K if I had owned it.
