I've found some.co.uk domain names with low UK Overture score (between 5 and 10). Do they worth registering for traffic and will they at least return me the reg fee?
Any good and cheap .co.uk registrar?
Thanks in advance.

i would only go with oneandone if you dont mind faxing your release forms for them to chnage the IPS TAG , otherwise stay clear, my 2p's worth only.
What's your opinion? Should I try to register them?
I am in the same predicament as you, I have about 25 domains like that. I registered so far only those between 10-12 ovt (4) (most of which went down as well). One of them is working well, the others are not making their costs.

if you can gurantee(!) you will make your costs back after 2 years(min.co.uk reg period), or maybe develop then it may be worth it..Originally Posted by Kirkos
from expirence (not much) i never get round to developing them and only 60% pay for themselves and a renew, the rest was a waste of the £6
eg footballforum.co.uk has an UK OVT of 5, i started to devlop it but got board.. so its just parked, and thats a name worth developing.....
good luck

I would reg them if they are good and pronouncable!
as others said OVT says nothing
I don't think it's accurate to say that Overture's keyword tool means nothing, I find it handy for giving a rough indication of what people are searching for on the net.
Regarding cheap and good registrars, I've been using UKREG myself for .co.uk domains, as they are easy to deal with and fairly cheap.
As cogeek said, if your domains are good sounding or generic names I would reg them.

I have not had good experiences with 1and1 so I would not recommend them at all..

Overture is not everything. If the names sound good I would register them. The registration costs are not high for co.uk. Also bear in mind that with more than 4M co.uk registered it's not always easy to find good names.
Listen to your instinct.

register, if they are pronounceable or short ie 4letters
if you not like oneandone, try lycos domains, they works good for me so far,
