    Moneybookers

I've been reading about the increasing number of scams related to getting paid with paypal and then having the payment reveresed after domain is pushed, leaving you with nothing.

I've also read that Moneybookes is a safer alternative, is that true? Or what other safe alternatives to paypal are there?

MB may be safe for the seller and may be a risky one for buyer.

Escrow is kind of best but colstly.

Trust is the best part - deal with trusted members for small to kid of exceptable range.
    Escrow for any good sale.

Also, do you recommend getting contact info, even calling the potential seller/buyer before any transaction? anyone here does that?

I use moneybookers. It takes a few days to make a bank deposit but overall I've been happy with them.

MB is good when you are the seller because payment cannot be reversed (like e-gold). You can also make escrow payments with them, paypal doesn't have that feature.

Moneybookers is just fine for me, and in case of bigger sales, you can use their escrow service. Although for bigger transactions I always recommend Moniker escrow.

But they are good, support was fast (at least for me), and there are a lot of security features.

Don't worry about payee trust when you want receive money but do not pay if you don't trust the receiver because there is NO CHARGE BACK.

Do not want you to disappoint you, guys. But Moneybookers can be reversible.
    Look here:
7.4. When Customer receives a payment through the Service, he/she is NOT protected against a subsequent reversal of the transaction. Examples of such a reversal include, but are not limited to, a credit card reversal by the sender of the payment and a reversal of the transaction because the sender of the payment was using a stolen credit card or unauthorised bank account.
Absolutely unreversible most common e-currencies are: e-gold and webmoney. However these two are hard to fund and withdraw.
