    pending deletion questions

I am trying to backorder a pending deletion domain name that I got off a pending delete lists.

    Pool says
    Domain deletes on: 2005.12.21
as does the whois.sc (it also states it is pending delete)

    But using snapnames it states:
    domainReleases on: 08-Nov-2006

How can anyone register a domain when its in pending deletion? I thought it was held and open for whoever after it is deleted?

Can this just be a mess up on the providers supplied pending list?

use http://www.tektips.us and do a registry lookup, the registry will show you current status might show that is expires a year later when in fact is already expired

usually domains has a lifecycle of 70 days after expiration, then the registry takes it in days 70-75 and puts it into pending delete before finally releasing it back to the pool of available domains, it is also up to their whim to when they actually release it

it was a screw up on list providers or name.coms part as the name was somehow registered and it never dropped.

I thought the 30 days RGP is mandatory, no?
Profoundly influenced by #Bauhaus, @Nameslave unrepentantly embraces #Minimalism in his #multimedia portfolio. His early works include an experimental adaptation of Chekhov’s Cherry Orchard inspired at least partly by Robert Fripp. His totally irrelevant M.Ed. dissertation examines Organizational Culture and Change Management.

    Re: pending deletion questions

I was wondering why Snapnames and Pool show different dates too. I posted here a while back but never got an answer..
