Please answer several questions!

I'd be very glad if you could answer some questions!

1. Lets say I have 350-400 euro to invest. Is that enough to start a business in domaining? In order to generate some money from parking would it be better to buy 1 domain or few cheaper ones?
2. Would you suggest to look for dropped domains or buy from them an owner? If buying from an owner is better would you do that thru SEDO, forums or somewhere else instead?
3. Do you use Escrow? What services do you usually use to conduct deals?

Thanks!

1. yes, it's enough to get started
a. it would be best if you could buy several under $100 each, but chances of high returns are slim for that budget.

2. there is still gold in "drops"!
a. also some current owners still sell at bargin prices
b. you can buy from owners here or thru sedo, your choice.

3. escrow.com is preferred for high-end purchases, as well as sedo, moniker and afternic. i use paypal most often between forum members for sales under $5k or higher if we have established relationship or that person is long standing member

good luck!

Re: Please answer several questions!

how much would I generally earn from parking domains that cost around $100? or in other words how long would it take for such a domain to earn $100?

would it be possible to get dot com domains under $100 that bring money from parking?

Re: Please answer several questions!

you would want to pay around 12 months revenue or less for domains with traffic and earnings , in other words if the owner is showing you screenshots that a domain is earning $5 per month on average then 12 x $5 = $60 is what you would expect to pay, of course generic non-typos are worth 10 times that as they are also considered brandable, but yes you can get in with your budget.

Re: Please answer several questions!

you would rarely find names for under 15 months. the usual rate for typo domain is 20 to 24 months
