    question about hyphens

    in a name like 2-ya.com
that would be considered 4 characters, right?
and is domains like that: 2-ya.com or 2-y.com, do they have any value? are the just reg fee domains, or do they hold water like other 3 and 4 character domains?

    Re: question about hyphens

I highly doubt there's value with such names. You can find a lot about hyphens into dnforum (search), and mixing numbers with letters might be interesting only if meaning something (not only to you...).

Most people avoid hyphen domains like the plague. However if you have the right keywords it can still be a valuable domain especially if it ranks well in Goog. Try to avoid them if you can, but as most everyone knows the best .coms are gone and cost big money to acquire.

There is still money to be made, one just has to look harder and work harder. New technology is also coming out all the time, that is where many look for available domains.
