Question about PR and expired domains

I have read that if a site with PR expires, then it loses it's PR. If you were to register an expired domain with say a PR of 5, can it regain it's PR from the sites that were previously linked to it if they are still linked.

I gues my question is: How does PR work with regards to an expired domain that previously had PR.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

Re: Question about PR and expired domains

    You heard wrong...

generally, domains do not loose their PR ranking after they expire, which is why PR5, PR6 and PR7 names go for so much on Pool.

Re: Question about PR and expired domains

Thanks for your reply. I wondered why some dn's go for so much when the name doesn't seem that good.

    Thanks,
    Brandon
