regarding wordpress

Not sure if this is the right place to post these questions but I wanted to know a few things about wordpress.I have a few domains and i'm making no money from them.My goal is to develop all into websites but while i'm learning how to use html and css,I need to make some progress at least on some of these domains.

1)is wordpress a program only to make blog sites?

2)is it possible to put adsense or some paying ads if I use wordpress for some of my domains?

3)can somebody send me a link of one of their website that use wordpress or pm me one?I just want to see what a typical wordpress site looks like.

If you don't have any plans to update those sites regularly, then don't use wordpress or any other software. Just make plain html pages site.

Caroline Middlebrook ( http://www.caroline-middlebrook.com/blog/ ) wrote an excellent free ebook about setting up WP including an adsense template. No strings attached.

I'm a newbie with no programming skills and by following her guide, it took me only a very short time to set it up.
