Urgent info required (relating to namescout.com and domain selling) - DNForum - Domain Sales, Domain Forum, Domain Appraisals, Domain Registrars

I am in the process of selling my very first domain name.

The domain is a .INFO, I've owned it for over 60 days, and it has been with namescout.com since registering it.

The person who is buying it wants the domain transfurred to Enom

Question, how do I actually do this?
What are the steps that I need to take in order to transfer my domain from NameScout to the guy who buys it, at Enom?

I have emailed NameScout about this in the past but I found their response slightly confusing.

You need to obtain an "authorization code". You can most likely request this from your domain name control panel. If you cant find it, call them and as for it. Then you give the code to the guy to is transferring it away from you (the one that bought it from you).

At least I believe this is how it works with .info. I have never transferred one.

Did you check the NameScout FAQ article about changing the domain organisation name?

So all I need to do is change the domain organisation name, and the domain is theirs?
I don't need to anything else?

Well if the registrant name is changed to their information - yes they become the official registrant owner for that domain name.

You will still need to transfer control of the domain itself to them - if they want it at their eNom account, it is usually the buyer who must request an inbound transfer from within their eNom account.

They do this at the eNom domain transfer page (requires an eNom login)
